Maintenance

Maintenance on the property it belongs to

Requests, quotes, work orders and approvals sit on the property’s record, beside the assets that need servicing before they fail.

Assets and service dates

Keep a register of each property’s assets — a heat pump, a hot-water cylinder, an extractor fan — with when each was last serviced. The dashboard shows what is due within 90 days.

Jobs, quotes and work orders

  • A maintenance request recorded against the property and the tenancy.
  • Quote requests and work orders for the contractor, recorded on the job; you send them by email or phone.
  • Approvals for spending, by the right person in your team.
  • Maintenance invoices on the owner’s statement.

Found at inspection

A problem found at an inspection is in the inspection report, with its photo, on the same property as the request you raise for it.

Questions

Do contractors need a Propex login?

No. Contractors do not sign in; work orders and quote requests are recorded in Propex and you send them yourself.

Does the owner see what was spent?

Yes. Maintenance invoices appear on the owner’s statement.
